If no single minor program appeals to you, it is possible to construct your own “custom” minor. To ensure that your DIY minor conforms to expectations, you must request approval from the Examination Board. You can do so by filling out a permission form here or directly sending an email to [email protected]. Generally, the Examination Board is quite lenient with free minors, but beware that your free minor must consist of:

Here is a snippet from the TER 2023-2024:
If you fail one of your minor courses, you can request a free minor by choosing an additional course in the following periods. So, if you failed a P3 minor course, look at potential swaps in P4 to P6.
If you realize that your chosen minor track is not what you expected and would like to change it, you can still request a free minor. For instance, if you signed up for the Deep Programming track but would like to swap over to the Data Science track, you can still do this. Just send an email to the Examination Board and if accepted, your minor becomes a “free” minor.
